Friendship means the most

by Desperation   Jun 21, 2006

Of all the things I have learned
I only know one true thing
Keep your friends very close
They make you who you are

I'm here in California
A long way from Michigan
Where all my friends reside
Trying to have a great vacation
But only wanting to cry.

My friends make me who I am
Without them I am nothing special
I'm not a bouncy, lovable girl
Or and outgoing friend
I'm only a lonely stranger lost till the end

They don't call, but I haven't been gone for that long
I don't blame them either, I hesitate as well
I miss them dearly, because I don't have friends here
It'd make the months pass on quicker if only they were near.

I need to find friends on this trip
I'm here till August and I don't want to slip
If you look through my past poems, I wasn't very happy
If I don't find friends fast
It'll all turn quite crappy.

So once again I'll tell you my secret
The only thing I really know for sure
Tell your friends you love them and care
They know who you truly are
And you'll miss them when they're not there.

*I miss you all so much*
