Happy Mother's Day...

It's just another mother's day
For me to mourn and fear
As the terrible thoughts of how she died
Make my eyes begin to tear

She really was a good mom
Though she didn't see life through
I know she loved me with all her heart
Though she only lived until I was two

It's just another mother's day
For me to sit alone
To ignore the world around me
And let my heart be shown

I'll let the tears fall freely
As I wait for the day to end
It's not something I can let go
And today I refuse to pretend

It's just another mother's day
For me to let my thoughts race
As I wonder why God did this
And wants me to live in this place

Maybe I have a replacement
But that doesn't make it right
That all my hope was stolen from me
In a crazy incident one night

Yes, it's only another mother's day
For me to celebrate a mom
One is here but doesn't love me
The other is dead and gone..
