Crying softly and shivering
Holding myself tight
Nightmares seeping into my mind
Filling me with confusion and fright

Doubt is all I know
Misery my only friend
Certain that what is nearing
Is a bitter end

Strange looks from a passerby
Never felt this alone and scared before
Betrayed by my last friends
Not sure of anything anymore

Reaching out for help
But left isolated with my every thought
Thoughts of how life used to be
When only happiness was sought

I'm begging for a hand to help me
Someone to try to make me smile
And please...will someone just...
Hold me for a little while?
