Five Girls

by Allie Cat   Jun 22, 2006

Girl One stands tall and proud
She says what she believes and says it aloud
She's addicted to books but is never quite
She's fine with herself while her friends diet
But she's gone as quickly as she came
And I didn't even get to learn her name

Girl Two is just a little more shy
But still just as proud and will never cry
Her clothes are boring and her face is blank
She eats plenty but is still a bit lank
She's a little confused, yet usually knows what to do
But this girl just as quickly disappears from view

Girl Three skips into sight
With a smile on her face, holding a poem tight
She beams at everyone and spins around
Whispering how her true love she's finally found
But almost immediately she falls from the sky
And I can not see her where she lye

Girl Four is the worst one can get
She is haunted with memories and filled with regret
She cannot eat and cannot sleep
Tears fall down her face, for she can only weep
Her eyes are red and her hair is a mess
Begging just to once again be His Only Princess

I am Girl 5, looking back on everything
From start to finish, from end to beginning
It took me a while, but now I see
That every one of those girls became a part of me
