Stupidity

Why did I think you liked me,
Even as a friend?
Why did I think that something more,
Was how it was going to end?

Why did I tell you how I felt?
Everything I knew.
Everything I worried about,
I told it all to you.

I thought you felt the same for me.
I thought you really cared.
I thought you felt something much more
Every time you stared.

But maybe it was stupid for me
To think we'd be together.
To think it'd me just you and me.
Until the end of this forever.

So now I'm sitting here alone.
Tears running down my face.
Feeling like I want to go,
I want to leave this place.

Would you notice if I left?
Would you even say goodbye?
Would you want to have me back?
Would you ever cry?

I guess you've taught me not to dream.
That wishes donâ??t come true.
That even though I love you.
You could never love me too.
