Reason to Live

by Unrequited   Jun 23, 2006

Life is a struggle,
it bites and it stings
it may kick you to the ground,
and leave you with the pain it brings.

but you must hold on,
for you will have your happy ending.

when you are cold,
and when you are alone
you will receive a sign from the Heavens,
a reason to live will be shown.

and once you find it (no matter who or what),
never let it go.

ready to give up,
ready to die cold and alone
i had no sign,
there was no reason to be shown

love was a gift
that was never meant for me.

but then there was you,
and the heart that you gave me
i felt my passion arise,
and my soul was finally set free

i wanted nothing more
than you in my arms, for eternity.

in your eyes, i am lost
with your touch, my heart begins to race
hearing your voice, there's nothing sweeter
and when we kiss, i sizzle from the heat of your embrace.

in my heart, you will live in peace
and i will never let you go.

with every ounce of passion and vicious fury i hold within,
you will feel my love
i will never let you down,
i will never let you go.

with all my power, all my might
you will be safe, inside my heart.

i am yours, and you are mine
just promise you'll never leave
your love i will protect, never let it die...
because my love, you mean everything to me.

you were my sign from Heaven,
you are my reason to live.

Awww...that was sweet. The rhyming was good. I didn't think it flowed to well in some places though, it didn't really take away from the great message you are trying to say though. I really loved it!
