Fairytale Beauty

by Mel   Jun 23, 2006

Look deep into the mirror
What is it you see?
A vision of beauty and elegance
Skin as white as snow

She didnt ask for anything
Just to be normal, to be loved
Cherished moments of her childhood
Tarnished by shades of blood red

The wildlife that surround
Liberate her from the prison of home
Unaware of the knight in disguise
Everyone wears a mask, hiding their true colours

The enchantress, stands in the dark
Filled with envy and rage
Burning fiercely, a wild flame
Determined to destroy the fair beauty

A quaint cottage in the forests
Hidden away from the world around
Just the fresh smells of pine
And dear animals that prance about

Fair maiden, finds solitude in this paradise
But not even reality can be pushed aside
For the fiery desire for victory
Burns through the peace and freedom

So its begins, the trial of fire and sea
One of beauty and calming elegance
The other consumed by power
In a battle for eternal liberty and light

The light dims, fair maiden falls
Delimited by tear stained faces
Expressions of despair and loss of hope
Then in the clearing, a shining light appears

The nameless knight, draws his sword
Striking the flame, watching it diffuse
Light streams from the heavens, peace restored
Released from the enchantment
Fair maiden, nameless knight
True love at first sight
Finally discovering destinys wish
As in the tales, ending with a happily ever after.
