The Glory of War (or lack thereof)

by Mel   Jun 23, 2006

The echo of gunshots through the night
Haunted by past soldiers of war, full of spite
The lives he’d stolen by the tip of his sword
He’d thought he could go on with his life

There he’d stood on the battle field
Caught between his heart and his mind
To turn away and ignore the call of war
Or kill for the advancement of man-kind

They say it is where heroes are born
In the battle of dark versus light
The stench of blood overshadows justice
For many men lay fallen that night
