Liberating Heart

by RadianceInReverse   Jun 23, 2006

She runs from the castle
that holds her soul.
She runs to-wards the forest
full of vampires and wolves.

She is not scared
but hopes and searches for escape
to get away from the torment, the pain.
Secretly she finds a way>

Silently climbing over mountains
and pushing through trees
She slowly escapes,
this Gothic scenery.

Wings folded at her back
she lies unaware of the danger ahead
the ridicule and hate shes about to face,
once she enters this less scary place.

For they do not like her kind
more pain and hate she is surely to find,
but still she presses on
not caring about the torment ahead.

Shes liberating her heart
from the bondage, the darkness
coming idly into the sunshine, the light.
a slight smile sweeps across her pale face,

her eyes begin to widen
as she sees birds of color,
and flowers in full bloom.
Finally escaping a heart-wrenching doom.
