A Secret

by Amanda***   Jun 23, 2006

A secret shared between us both, lingering in the night.
I meet you on the moon-lit bridge, your face is full of fright.
They're onto us, i heard him say, as we were walking along.
And I really dont think, i can keep this up, us like this is not enough.
Let's run away, we'lll find a place, where they can accept us, me and you. Let's leave our families, it will all be okay, as long as i have you.
And i believed him, but is it right? How far will i go, to keep this secret safe?

This is a nice poem, secrets are always interesting. I understood that you love someone who's forbidden by the society or family, and you don't want to care, you just want to be with that person. But still, you don't know if you would be able to keep that big secret.

    Good job!
