Shades Undone

by Kayd   Jun 24, 2006

She watches,
as though not through her eyes
at the world around her.
Twisted realities lie at her feet;
a puzzle they expect her to solve.

Her frustration grows,
tears of anguish released
in the silence.
No one hears,
not even the spectators
behind the pearl glass notice
her failed attempts to freedom.

It is after all,
all she wishes for.
To sleep free of pain,
grief, and the mocking
she sees,
hears, does...
everyday.

But it is no different.
No one but herself,
and others in such a state
understand.

And so she falls,
Golden Grey,
to Black.
