Love your children

by Shane   Jun 24, 2006

They'll play all day,
And sleep all night,
But when tears develop,
Hold them tight.

Let them know,
You're there to sooth,
Kiss their cheek,
And calm the mood.

Kindness passed,
Will soon show,
When personalities,
Start to grow.

But if you yell,
Or taunt or curse,
Give it some years,
They'll throw it back worse!

So when you talk,
Be soft and sweet,
Tell them you love them,
And tickle their feet.

If they disobey,
Or curse,
Don't get angry,
It makes it worse.

Tell them sternly,
Who's the boss,
Make them understand
the cost.

Think about
What you'll do,
Before you regret,
A thing or two.

Make a punishment to fit,
Like no TV,
Or corner sit.

You'll find if you
respect their rights
they'll love you back
and hold you tight

Love your children
treat them right
they might just turn out
to be alright.
