Sitting in the darkness
illuminated by the moon
there is a little girl
that has grown up way to soon

sitting in the darkness
surrounded by her pain
there is a little girl
that wants to start again

sitting in the darkness
filled with deep dispair
there is a little girl
that wishes she was unaware

sitting in the darkness
holding tightly to the picture
there is a little girl
that wonders about her future

sitting in the darkness
surrounded by her fear
there is a little girl
that can't even cry a tear

sitting in the darkness
knowing shes all alone
there is a little girl
praying for a peaceful home

sitting in the darkness
afraid to go to bed
there is a little girl
that wishes she were dead
