That red felt cap

by lisa marie   Jun 25, 2006

On Christmas eve i stay up late
in my bed with cookies i may wait
i sit there smelling the chestnuts
that have been roasting in all the boys huts
and i watch the christmas cherries red
as I lay tucked in my bed
like the felt cap of one so friendly
the reindeer also help send me
into a blissful dreamy trance
watching my grandmother dance
as she opens up her recent gift
which happensto be a replacement hip
