The Corner

by LaurenLiz   Jun 25, 2006

Sitting all alone with sorrow
curled up in a corner
tasting the salty tears
that diminish down on her face

that scent of hatred
and rejection
are all around her
as she is weighed down

their harsh words
stabbing below
deep into her soul
down to the heart

tears that fall off her face
eventually, sadly drop
as the wetness
splashes on her leg

in the corner
where she sits
every moment, alone
crying more each day

she slowly walks
to a destination
only to be rejected
and hated over again

she will cry once more
listening to mean words
feeling lonely, lost and afraid
in her heavy hearted corner again
