This is not true at all, God blesses you each and every day and stands by your side. You have to put your faith and trust in him and not be stubborn. If you continue to live your life without God, you will be miserable and miss out on so many things. God right now is loving you openly if though you don't believe and he is waiting for that day when you will accept him.
