Regret

by RetroRavey   Jun 25, 2006

Words cannot express
My absolute regret
For hurting you the way
I know I have.
Words I never meant,
And wished I never said
I let this building anger
Take me over.
I condemned the love,
That I knew was always there
But took for wretched granted
Because could.
I know I've said "I'm sorry,"
A thousand and one times,
but it's never good enough...
For me.
I hate my self for ever
Bringing you anger and pain,
With words
That weren't to leave my lips.

That's really sad and based on true emotion. I know how it feels to hurt someone you love, I like the way that you didn't say exactly what you did to hurt them, that way more people can relate to it. 5/5* Great job!

This isn't the best poem I've written in the leat but it was written for one of my ex-boyfriends, who I said some rather terrible and cruel things to... so umm yeah, I hope you like it, though I admit it's not that great...
