Deluded Dreams

You're an escapee of my mind
A figment of my deluded imagination

You came to me again last night
You held me while I lived in dreams
Why am I awake only while I sleep?

You never even speak to me
I'm just a shadow in your mind
And you see straight through me
And I know I shouldn't care
But I always find you there
Hiding in my dreams
And it isn't really you
You wouldn't say the things you do
You don't exist

You're a shadow, just like me
And you'll be gone tomorrow
Till I think of you again
And you find me in my slumber

And life will be good
