Awaiting My Abyss

I stand and look sky-wards into the darkened unknown void
Where many before me stood and stared silently
Where many after me will be cast into the same spell
A blacken sheet shrouds my sight and envelop the stars
Contrasting their twinkle like diamonds upon velvet
A swelling of darkness haunts and blinds my quest
I scan the horizon for the appearance I yearn for again
A vision entwined amid a feeling of being whole
Watching for the first sign of your regenerated birth
I wait with anticipation, hope and eagerness
Never blinking or looking away from fear of missing
My shooting star
Then I see it happen & rejoice with pleasure
Your first ray that flickers and embraces my presence
Traces an outline of sheer elegance, splendor and beauty
I rise to greet my conviction, my need, and my necessity
And the heavens start to rise up together in absolute harmony
Casting out the shadows that repel a union
Synchronization starts to bloom in your manifestation
A chorus hymns as an Angel sings & takes me aloft
A warming, gentle light feeds my soul
An aura of attraction that acquires all of my attention
A strength thats life-force lightens my atmosphere
I float and soar, all along skipping on clouds
An inner self thats fortitude protects my rage
A conviction that I harbor closely to my heart
A voice so tender, it sings a calming, reassuring song
A cheering glow that parts even the grayest of skies
A soften whisper that echoes, while I drift up wards
A gentle touch that brings contentment and happiness
A smile that endlessly shines, never overturned
All along hoping for this feeling to never cease
You reach down, and cup me within your hands
Euphoria strikes like a dagger into my senses
I then come to a door put forward, left ajar
Inviting me to journey with you into the abyss I yearn
Wondering how I, a simple peasant in life
Can be selected to walk with such an Angel
For whatever God created such paradise and beauty
I will pray to his alter, and revel with such delight
Within an instant, a blink in my humble existence
Blissfully, I realize, at that very moment, I am home again
