For The Pain To Go Away

What was once here
is now gone.
Vanished from sight,
never to see the daylight,
but under it all
a little piece remains,
waiting for the day
for the pain to go away.

So it can come to me
and greet me once again
but this time,
it won't leave again.
It's here to stay,
during night and day.

I wait for that day
for the pain to go away.
You wait with me,
we both wait silently.
Grieving on the inside,
desiring and wanting,
but collected on the outside,
living the day like any other day.

Knowing that the little piece,
hiding from the pain,
is now, little no more.
The pain makes it bigger, stronger, unbreakable.

Our secret is growing
but only in the dark.
I will wait, no matter what,
for that day
where the pain will go away.

Then a grand entrance shall be made,
for what wqas gone is now here.
Vanished from sight, it is no more.
Coming back from the dark
to greet the daylight
and stay both night and day.

But until then,
I will wait
for the day
for the pain to go away.
