Its getting old

by Kyle Schulz   Jun 26, 2006

I'm tired of this crap,
That seems to be all mine,
Makes me think my whole life,
Is just a waste of time,

Theres no Heaven above me,
no hell deep below,
Nothing to hold me against,
Life's relentless flow,

I live in a cesspool,
Of high-school politics and lies,
Small-world arguments so old,
The mention of them attracts flies,

Let me out of this town!
Seems like I have screamed forever,
But caged in I am, without consent,
Walls unyielding the slightest endeavor,

All my friends have forsaken me,
To this back-country abyss,
So end it all, swiftly I say,
Come hither death's sweet kiss,

But now I sound like a madman,
Left to his own far too long,
But how can you measure sanity,
When my world's is long gone,

So I turn to the Internet for survival,
Msn, myspace, all these come in,
But restlessness with data sharing grows,
My patience wears infinitively thin,

How do you survive this "Survivor" like scene,
Perpetually trapped in a space,
Inside this small and ugly portrait of,
The great scope of the Human Race,

So I bury myself in words,
And avoid the stares I receive from this,
Sheltered little town, for it is,
A Jocks haven and the cheerleader's bliss,

So in conclusion to my little poem,
Is a message that is already told,
You all know it as well as I,
This (insert swear word here) life is getting old.
