From a shadow on the roof
to a stranger on the sidewalk
A silhouette upon the waves
a shooting star in the darkness..

let your faded eyes
come to life!
let your faded eyes
take me away...

your eyes...
they glow
they fade
they shine
they die
but your eyes
never cry.

couldn't sleep again last night
the full moon shone from my window
and on nights like these, alone
its memories of you that fill me up.

I re-read every poem i wrote
that had a little piece of you in it.
tears secretly form behind my eyes
but i do not cry...holding back...

let your faded eyes
come to life!
let your faded eyes
take me away...

You've forgotten me
but still the memories
of what used to be
torture me. shatter me.

let your faded eyes
hypnotize me again
those piecing eyes
that never cry.
