Goodbye Loneliness

by manic moments   Jun 26, 2006

Good morning loneliness
How are thee today?
Are your tears still falling?
Does your heart still yearn to betray?

Is suicide written in your cards?
Is it apart of your life?
Please loneliness, why wont you answer?
Are you to busy running for that slow fading knife?

Are your tears turning red, loneliness?
As you get ready to die?
Loneliness, why do you choose such a death?
All the times that you would cry

Hidden behind the facade of smiles
Loneliness, why must you lie?
We all know you want yourself to hurt
But why do you want to die?

Good afternoon loneliness
Are your scars starting to fade?
I would ask that if only
I couldn't see that rusted blade

Are you still crying over forgotten promises?
Are you still alone, after all the fights?
Why keep crying, why keep trying?
Why not just give up and extinguish all your lights?

Traitors are what you deem your scars as
Even thought they show truth of your pain
I'm sorry loneliness, I didn't understand
But now I can feel your daunting shame

That blade is hidden behind your tears
Please loneliness, just think a little longer
One more day loneliness, just one more day
Just one more day, I know you'll get stronger

Good night loneliness
You've given up this long forgotten conflict
I'm sorry loneliness, I didn't truly see
All this pain you wished to inflict

Don't cry now loneliness
Your tears break my long-suffering heart
You don't need to cut anymore
Because, I guess, you where dead from the start

Hush now loneliness, no more sobbing
You will die peacefully now, you will die
I'm sorry loneliness, but this is what you wanted
Come now loneliness, no need to cry

Goodbye loneliness
Your death has come swiftly
I only wish of one thing
That you died quietly

I cradle thee till morning's light
And I bring thee to God's outstretched arms
Thou body is empty of thy soul
At last, thy sorrow calms

Thou smiles from heaven, in fits of happiness
I see thy smile from the lands of earth
Thy tears rain down to beg for forgiveness
Thou honour brings me joy and place of girth

Thou shalt not feel the sting of pain
Thee is free from torture of heart
Thy cans now see what was not meant
And now thou can forget the start
