The Siren

by Raychil   Jun 26, 2006

See the siren of the night
She's calling you for sweet delight
Males do not dare deny her
Her song sets their heart on fire

This beauty is rare
But no one can see
That this maiden so fair
Is an evil of the sea

With eyes so blue they shine
And skin soft and pale
Her hair is long and curled
Her beauty hides her scales

She stands along the shore singing,
Each note farther bringing,
More men to meet their death
As she continues her song without breath

Men awake for miles
Traveling to her deadly shore
Many will endure trials
But they'll do what she asks for

Woman will not be disturbed
In fact their sleeping will be steady
Wives won't hear their husbands leave
Girlfriend's hearts won't be ready

Yet through the night her song flies
Though its captivating it lies
But it's too late now the men are there
As they surround her they simply stare

She smiles letting her fangs show,
But the spell has been set in place
They are too entranced to know,
Of the peril they now must face

But she leads them calmly out to sea
Where they will disappear
Come morning only few will return
But they will be unable to hear

The rest of them will be long dead,
For she will have her fill
More people will be left to dread,
This beauty that will kill

But once again the night will come
And along the shore she'll appear
Her graceful beauty and deadly song
That people have grown to fear.
