How can i believe a word
that flows from your mouth
when every time you speak
my mind fills with doubt
you say one thing
but always do another
you make plans with me
but spend time with someone other
my body fills with rage
and my eyes swell with tears
the air escapes from my lungs
the truth becomes unclear
why do you tell me one thing
then turn around and lie
when this happens
you never fail to deny
if the fault is not yours
who is to blame
it can only be me
and i feel nothing but shame

did you intend to inflict pain
