Standing all Alone

by Wasted Fake Smiles   Jun 26, 2006

Lightning flashes, rain pours down,
In this distance, someone sits on the ground.
No umbrella, soaking wet, so cold,
There is a story that was left untold.

She went out with her friends, when she returned,
Her family was gone, which left her concerned.
Couch was gone, and pets as well,
The only thing left was the charger to her cell.

Before she left, her family said to her,
"I hate you". Seeing her tears brought pleasure.

They said they were leaving, she didn't believe,
But now an empty house, wiped her eyes on her sleeve.

Rain began to pour, sitting waiting for them,
Can't believe they left her in the stormy mayhem.
Hoping they're just at the store, and will be home soon,
As the rain turns her into a soggy prune.

Standing all alone in her front lawn,
Standing there crying until dawn.
Finally gives up and walks inside,
Pulls out a gun,

And died.
