What ever happened to,
Short nights,
Big smiles,
And special drawing rights?

What ever happened to,
fun and games,
Sitting on daddy's knee,
And not remembering names?

What ever happened to,
only fighting with siblings,
And so much energy,
Wishing you and wings?

What ever happened to,
Boys having cooties,
Scared of kissing,
And our home duties?

What ever happened to,
Dreaming,
Having tantrums and getting our ways,
All the crying and screaming?

What ever happened to,
Not having a care in the world,
Mum doing our hair,
Loved being twirled?

What ever happened to,
Being young,
Having fun,
And not being sprung?
