Delirium

by Cynthia   Jun 27, 2006

Your ignorance makes you blind
No one can be trusted,
Everyone is decayed,
In a World where we all mind

Illusions revolve in your thoughts
Idly playing mind games,
lost with so many shames,
Inside the sinister pools and blots

This world is full of melancholy
Dark pools surround us,
We dwell in our lust
as the world slowly becomes unholy

Trying to find the answers we Longed
Fear becomes an ambition fortified
As we are all grappled,
In these tangled webs forever entwined

The disastrous yet divine emotion of Love
Is killed very slowly
Rejected oh so very boldly
By our anxiety represented as a Dove

A foolish game is recklessly prolonged
Soon lost in our own madness,
Faith will be rendered useless,
Spurring evil into a world shortly dead

Great piece. The content is very well conveyed with some very good aspects and some very powerful lines. I especially like the final stanza, it seems to sum up the entire piece fantastically
