They say that God can heal the blind
But can he save me from my mind?
Can he take all of the hurt and numb it just once?
Just for one day can he show me a way
To a place where I won't have to hide my face?
Can he exchange my soul for one that is pure and whole?
Can he really hear my prayers,
That I recite as I lie in bed?
Is he really out there,
Or is this all just in my head?
Can he see me now, slitting my wrist to take away the pain?
Piece by piece, blood flowing from the veins.
If so can he help me?
This will be my last try.
Or so be it God,
Here I go, screaming my last cry.
