The Girl

by Cristiana   Jun 28, 2006

The girl was waiting
Waiting for love,
A home of her own
Just like all of us
She wants somewhere to belong.

This girl will wait forever
For that someone
The one everyone waits for
To take care of us
To hold us.

That girl needs nothing more
Just a place to call her own
With someone to call her love
For is that not what we all want,
To fit in and not rejected.

There goes the girl walking alone
For the true bliss we all crave
Will never be found
It is all sadness, disappointment, And despair.

The girl will wait forever
As will most of us
Some will settle for second
Most will walk confused
Totally lost.

The girl wants to be saved
The world needs a hero
And everyone has their own
If fiction were to become reality
We'd all be happier.

This girl is alone
As are we
We live in hopes
For a better future
But we really all live in fantasies.
