Paper Hearts

by xoxShorteexox   Jun 28, 2006

I tore your heart like paper,
I drew your name with hearts around it.
I watched you love me, but I was scared to love you back.
My heart ripped so easy,
one word shredded it to piece.
My paper heart ripped in three,
two for him,
& one of me.
I cut out paper hearts,
but I cut them in three,
gave you two pieces,
& kept one for me.
Paper hearts didn't mean anything,
so, I gave up on love.
Only to find out,
my paper heart was forever yours.
