Memory

by Cody Tripp   Jun 28, 2006

Set in the past, lost in time. Remembering
that last rhyme. Bound and tangled in all
of those lies. Restricted by all of those
cries. The melody so sweet, yet the reality
so cruel. Death was my only answer. Life
was my only crime. Slain in anger, drained
of pain. Shadowed in my blood. My mind
racing, my heart steadily chasing. Losing
everything one second at a time. Left with
only one memory, forced to live a specific
day. Hearing nothing but lies, feeling
nothing but the cries. Continuesly seeing
my dieing soul, while all the time
chanting set in the past, lost in time,
remembering that last Rhyme.
