Piercing

by Courtney Medina   Jun 28, 2006

"You're grounded" she cried
As I walked right through the door
Those seemingly familiar words
Are ones I've heard before.
"What the heck is that?"
She said, pointing to my face
To think that I grew up
Becoming my family's own disgrace.
"Take it out, or I'll pull it."
My dad screamed atop his lungs
I don't see the problem
Since it's not on my tounge.
"You guys suck, I hate you."
I finally scream at last.
This house feels like a script
With actors needing to be cast.
"THat's it, I give up." I say
Taking the earring from my brow
It's not worth the fight
'Cause I'd have lost it anyhow
