Soldiers Honor

Soldiers Honor

I'm a soldier in a no mans land,
My feet hurt from the sand.
Why did I have to come to this place,
As the day starts no one knows what I'll face.
Why did we have to lose our friend?
When will this struggle come to an end?
I feel as if this wound will never heal,
Why did he have to give his life, that wasn't a fair deal.
In this sandy hell I feel like I'm on my own,
Am I really all alone?
These feelings I'll keep buried inside me,
I'll never let the world see.
A true friend is all I really crave,
But that secret I'll take to my grave.
