She continues to search for happiness
But every step is a fight for life
Trying to look beyond the shadows
Trying to look beyond all strife
Hating the blood that drops off her fingers
The scar's left upon her skin
Her blood that spills the very truth
The truth she let depression win
She buried herself alive inside
So she could shut others out
So no one could see the pain she holds
Or see what her life is all about
Lying within her very soul
Enough tears to drown the world
Hating her reflection in the mirror
A sick depressed young girl
To tired to go on
She searches for happiness no more
The blood that drops from her wrist
Match the tears that fall upon her floor
She grasps her wrist in pain
But it's the best pain she's ever felt
Everything slowly fading
All the secrets and lies just melt
One last tear runs down her cheek
But this is not a tear of woe
She's finally found the happiness
That she had once long ago...
