Lost Time

For the life we never had together
And the joys we couldn't share
For the jokes you couldn't tell me
'Cause there was no time to spare
For all the things we couldn't have
All the places we didn't go,
All the years I've spent away from you
I wish somehow you could know,
how much your presence meant to me
my memories of you are dear
I send you my love with all my might
and wish that you were here.

I wrote this one when I was 12. Just found it the other day. It's written in memory of my Father.
