To freedom

I'm listening to my heartbeat,
As it tells me what to play,
Rythm flowing enchanting me,
But now I wish to fray,

I want to feel midnight,
As it torpedoes me with hate,
Not to sense but know,
What they think of eternal fate,

I've given into darkness,
To cut away the cord,
Demolish all around me,
And break away the sword,

To discriminate emotion,
Is inhumane to see,
I can't help but feel helpless,
For today I need to free,

To cut away the nightmares,
That break me from my dreams,
To sleep eternal happiness,
And ride upon the streams,

I cannot take the ache,
As it resides then fires again,
I will not see the daylight,
For I shut my eyes in pain,

I need the strength,
So help me Lord,
A test or is this the end?
Plait my neck with faithless cord,

As it burns and twists delight,
I am of nothing but lifeless dread,
Stars twinkle my demise,
Is it my time to rest my head?

Beckons to me for the right,
Patronising preaching me,
Perfected to perfection,
For today I need to free.
