Last One Standing

by LadyPearl   Jun 29, 2006

Time broken into several sections
Hearts are torn little by little
Destroying God's wonderful creation
Shattering all that's become brittle

No harm will ever stop this numbness
Running through my pounding veins
No songs can ever sooth my lonliness
From what's left of my dying pains

Appalling mist swirl and embrace my soul
Crushing it to pieces, then scattered abroad
In all these years, I'm no longer whole
Cause that river has become more broad

It's now wider and deeper than ever before
And Now my strength withers upon it's bends
Waiting forever to be pushed ashore
Cause no words spoken can now mend

What's already shattered and broken
No light can blind out ancient darkness
The heart is far from being awakened
Lurking inside nothing but pure coldness

Am I the last one standing around here
Who has the eyes to see everything
How many times must the clouds rain tears
Till we all learn from our loathing sins

    Whoa... my comment went mad...

    it did say:

"every stop this numbness" should the "every" be "ever"?

sorry... not sure what happened there....
