Red Rose

by TaWlIa   Jun 29, 2006

It sits on the table
Next to my bed
Still the same way
That you had bought it
The color is still
Bright as red could ever be
The leaves
Are still green as ever
As I saw you standing there
Holding that red rose
Along with a card
IN a white envelope
My heart skipped a beat
That one moment
I thought it was only a dream
A wish
Something you would only find in my dreams
Something I never thought
Not for one moment
Would this ever happen to me
But when I saw you standing there
I felt my frown
Curl into a smile
My eyes no longer felt with sadness
But with happiness
My arms were no longer empty
Cuz you were in my arms
After your arms feel around me
And held me tight
I squeezed
It was like I was telling you
Never to let me go
And we finally let each other go
I still had a smile on my face
And my eyes were now filled with life
You handed me the rose
With a smile upon your face
That smile I will never forget
I smelled the magnificent Red Rose
I held it there
Looked at you and smiled
Than kissed you
And said thank you
That red rose
Was my first
And I will never forget it
Or you
Cuz me and you
Will last forever
