Broken reflections

by just chelsea   Jun 29, 2006

The boy looked at his mirror
And stared at his reflection
And what was staring back at him
Was his perfect imperfection

The boy looked at the imperfection
And stared into his eyes
Remembering all the rejection
remembering all the lies

The boy glared at rejection
And the pain that he did hide
The mirror was his protection
It showed what was on the inside

He stared into the mirror
It had become his obsession
So the boy took his fist
And smashed his own reflection

The glass had shattered
And his heart was torn
For his reflection was
A million times reborn

He stared at the reflections
As blood dripped from his hand
He thought he could kill his obsession
He just didn't understand

Then he took the glass
And it cut him like a knife
He sat there on the bathroom floor
As he was drained of life

His final breath had gone
He died from his twisted dissection
And now hes laying peacefully
amongst his broken reflection
