Try To Be Bold

My mind is running on empty,
My reactions are just to slow.
It seems I'm missing the moment,
I never have the right to know.

Honesty keeps lying,
Integrity doesn't remain,
Loyalty cheats,
While I walk the route of shame.

Nothing has been done wrong.
Nothing yet was said.
Assumptions kill me,
They are what I dread.

Insecurity lacks confidence,
And the heart doesn't forget,
You can only take it so many times,
You feel like you earn what you get.

Rejection equals failure,
And I've failed to many times.
I settle for a loss,
Victories are my crimes.

In the end it's only better that you rejected me,
I am a waste of time,
I'm worthless as can be.

Time will go by,
And I will remember that I never told:
My feelings of you meant so much,
But to tell,
Means I must be bold.
