Almost Paradise

When I saw you
I knew I was in love
Looked up at the sky
And thanked God from up above

Each time I stepped closer
Your smile grew bigger
I said hi my name is Joe
Can I take you out sometime

Our conversation grew deeper
As she said I have a boyfriend
I looked up at the sky
And said, I thought dreams were supposed to come true

I told her I was sorry
And just wanted to be friends
For every time I saw her, I saw paradise
And I knew deep inside, that I couldn't lose her

Why, oh why
Did it have to be this way
I pray every night
That she'll become mine

And when that day comes
I'll smile everyday
And thank God for answering my prayers

Use us as an example
For our love can change the world
And stop people from hating
And love more everyday

    How touching...it was gripping through out. one suggestion however would be to try an remove some of the cliches used....maybe you can re read it and it would be evident to you....but i really liked it...the emotional flow was perfect...not spoken to you in sometime mate...hope youre fine...dhaval

    Awesome job!! it's so sweet and true. i know how you feel. when i first met my boyfriend, he had a girl. i then moved out of town and didn't see him for a while. but it all worked out in the end. i'm sure it will for you too.
