The Dance and the Dream

by Ferris   Jul 1, 2006

Step, one, two
I step towards you.
Our bodies collide in a whirl of motions.
My mind slides in a fit of
emotions.
Step, one, two
My hips whirl around you.
We dip and swish and
move
The way everything is, we keep in the groove.
Your dark sweet eyes fill my heart with passion
We move not slowly but we're smooth like molasses
I can hardly contain myself, it's like we're connected
I hold on tight, it's like I'm infected.
Step, one, two
I'm about to kiss you.
When I jerk awake from this wonderous dream,
I realize my heart is ripped at the seams.
You help sew it back up, don't you worry
I'm not in a rush, I'm not in a hurry.
Darling whisk me away for one wonderous night,
I forgive you, and let me see your inspiring sight.
Step, one, two
(No matter what they say) I'm in love with you.
