The Light

by Michael   Jul 2, 2006

Lift me
from eternal sleep
where raven black tears
blind me from happiness and joy.

Angels sing beloved,
yet bewitched tune
echoing through halls
of my empty memories and feelings.

In paradise,
breath in bliss
exhale by despair,
leaving the path of tears
entering reality of love.

Where does fate trail us?
However, when does fate deceive us?
Only time can stitch the pieces together.

Love flows through heart and veins,
happiness blinds my lies and fears,
hope guides my wings to fly.

Do I dare shift the blinds
off my weary eyes
to seek pride
to feel true love
to touch eternal life
to abandon my pain
to return to innocence?

Follow what is right
will is my new path;
being my nightmares I now tremble down,
the sky is my hopes and dreams,
the horizon is the everlasting g mystery.

No matter how blind the darkness goes,
let our light that we seek
bring us to the dreams we always reach.

This seemed to have a lot of light.
It made me feel good about being me and not worry about dramas and whatever else.

It's a pleasant piece each stanza was like bliss to read.
