Waiting for you

by Jaelly Longoria   Jul 2, 2006

You held your arm across the fields of war, pointing your gun toward the opponent
your face, dark, and pale, your eyes filled with scars of your deep past
I couldn't hold on to my safe grounds, running to you is all i had faith in
I'm back to reality, every minute seems to slow down, everyone passing by go in slow motion
My tears drop onto the letter and burn a whole through, shows how many burden memories lie alone waiting to be remembered.
listening to the breeze in the calm air that runs through my hair, I think of you and of the plans we had our minds set to
Ill be waiting for your return, waiting for your arms to lock themselves as you hug me
Waiting for your eyes to block everything around us, and build a world where there is only you and me.
going back to sleep, i see you laying next to me
if you ever wonder how I got to sleep with this anxiety, It's because i believe you are coming back home to me.
