no more unfair people to judge who is you,
no longer any reason to laugh or to cry,
no need to tell what's fake from what's true

to drown in the music, and not hear anymore?
to listen so deeply, holding onto the words,
trying your absolute best to ignore?

their language is where you want to be!
but you cannot do that, not now. not ever.

about sleeping so much that you'd never wake up?
to try so hard to make your dreams reality
in hopes of filling your half-empty cup?

with absolutely no distractions
no more of your life's cruel problems
just focusing on your joy in action...

that your life really isn't that bad?
that you don't need to escape from this world
just because you may be a bit sad?
sure we all have our bad days,

but why would you want to leave it all behind
when you can show the world your smile?
instead of trying to leave reality,
by oversleeping or constantly numbing,
wouldn't you rather brighten someone's day
and show that there are positives coming?

of course it's okay to have a good cry.
sure, let it all out through healthy actions
like singing a song or excercise
just don't let these actions take control of you
make sure you know when to stop,
so that, once you're done wiping your tears
you can catch someone else's teardrops
i must admit, that i need to work on this too,
and that this is a lot harder said than done
but try to make it your goal this summer
be less pessimistic and have some fun!
so go out there and show off your teeth!
go hang out with an awesome friend!
because when you bring the world more joy
you'll never know who's heart you'll mend
