So you are haunted by your past
a life that would never last
remembering those good old days
when it all seemed right
who'd know we get into one big fight
which would change us
almost over night
and i know you still love me
even if you cant admit it
i just wish things could be..
like they were
the laughs we shared
nothing else would compare
to those memories of me and you
its so true
tho we have grown up
and are moving on with our lives
i still wish i had the feeling of being safe
you always gave me
or am i too blind to see
no matter how far apart
or how much we've changed
your still with me.
tho its hard to piece us back together
and nothing last forever
just knowing how much you care
gives me the strenght i need
to realize your still there
through the tough times and good
you never stop caring and never would
it cant be like the old days the new are different
but we are making it the best we can
because thats all we can do
as we travel down different paths
and other lives
well you do the math
we might not be as close
as we once were
but i guess this is just how its gonna be
