Oh how it hurts

Oh how it hurts when he walks on by,
i look at him though a tear in my eye.
i try to forget that he was once mine,
that i was one of many in a line.
everytime i hear our song,
i wonder how could it all have gone wrong.
that guy was my dream to come true.
how could he have left me so lonely, so blue?
i remember those walks we took through the park,
those sweet and tender kisses he gave me in the dark.
oh yes the pain can hardly be bared,
when i remember him and the moments we shared.
oh how it hurts the bitter, sweet, memories i wanted to last,
but I'll have to get over them because they're in the past.
