Status

Is status the education
That in life you earned?
Or is it the wealth that you possess?
Then what status shall you be
If all you have gets burned?
The world's greatest men had learned
What no man else had learned
And when their so called white pages
Had been flipped turned
Revealed a total mess.

Status isn't what you have
It is what you give.
It is not where you live your life
But it is how you live.
It's why you breathe,
And how you hate
And the things that you tolerate .
It's how you think
And why you smile,
Not what you drink
Or your hairstyle
It's not your car
And not your house
By far It's how you choose your spouse.
It's not your clothes
And what you wear
It's keeping oaths
And what you share
It's what you ache for,
What you dream.
It's what causes your face to gleam.
Its if at night
When your in bed
Your conscience doesn't pound your head.
It's if in faith you look above.
And above all
It's how you love.
