People only see her with their eyes,
But sometimes that can lead to lies.
She’s hiding a secret deep down inside,
A secret that with no one she can confide.
They think she’s beautiful and has it all,
She’s pretty, smart, talented, and tall.
This girl, they think, must never be sad,
She has no reason to ever get mad.
But little do they know that this girl they see,
Although always surrounded by people feels lonely.
She’s lost in her world of insecurities,
She’s hurt so badly and they don’t know half of it really.
Sometimes she cries herself to sleep,
In the morning she says not a peep.
A mask she puts on day to day,
Pretending that everything is okay.
She can’t fight this anymore,
Her heart, mind, and soul are sore.
It is close to the end and she is giving up slowly,
Happier, she thinks she will be.
But at the last moment when she’s taking her last breath,
Something saves her from her own death.
Someone who was always there,
Which she always thought never cared.
The truth they must confess,
A truth she needed to hear no less.
She wasn’t alone it seems after all,
She opened up and tore down her wall.
Happy she was and always will be,
Now that girl turned out to be me.
